Wow! Did we move today! After the WWII Memorial, we went to the National Archives. From there we walked to the Old Post Office for lunch. We then had a short visit at the Museum of American History and headed out to Arlington National Cemetery. Four of our students participated in the wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We went back to Pentagon City Mall for dinner. Beautiful day in DC! Traffic was horrible this morning so we were running late for our Library of Congress tour. We had an abbreviated tour. We then hurried to the Capital for our tour-which was running late. From that tour, we literally had to run for our photo op. in front of the Capital. We then walked to Union Station for lunch. The bus took us to the zoo for a couple of hours. Dinner was delivered and we ate on the bus on our way to the Cathedral. Evensong was beautiful. Now we have one more exhibit-the National Geographic. Whew.

Monday Continues
The rain did not stop us from having fun but it did stop us from being able to go up in the Washington Monument. The Museum of Natural History was great but we didn't have a lot of time. We may be going back. Then off to the White House-no protests today. The Holocaust Museum was a humbling experience. Had a quick dinner at Pentagon City Mall and off to the Ford's Theatre to see "Little Shop of Horrors.". Busy day!

Bus Trip
The trip is going well. We had to eat lunch on the bus due to the rain. We stopped for dinner at a rest area across the North Carolina border and were able to eat outside and stretch our legs. Due to a bit of a late start, it will be after midnight before we get to the hotel. We are on our fourth movie!
On the way!
The buses are loaded and on the way. The groups will be stopping about 1 pm in Georgia for lunch. Arrival tonight should be about midnight at the hotel. A few pictures of the buses loading are available at http://picasaweb.google.com/stlukesoviedo/DCTripLoadingBus# (Link is always on the right.)
